ANA MENDES  é fotojornalista multimídia. Vive sem residência fixa no Brasil, fotografando principalmente povos e comunidades tradicionais. Trabalha com a metodologia da fotografia compartilhada, elaborada pelo fotógrafo humanista J.R. Ripper, com quem trabalha há muitos anos.

Atua como documentarista realizando projetos fotográficos, cinematográficos e reportagens para veículos da mídia independente, entre elas, Agência Pública, Repórter Brasil e Amazônia Real.

Em 2017 ganhou menção honrosa no prêmio Poy Latam, na categoria vídeo com “O massacre de Caarapó”.

ANA MENDES is a photojournalist, photographer and video maker, moving all over Brazil photographing mainly the struggle of traditional peoples and communities.

Acts as documentary filmmaker doing photographic, cinematographic and reporting projects for independent media vehicles in Brazil, among them Agência Pública, Repórter Brasil e Amazônia Real. She works with the methodology of shared photography, elaborated by humanist photographer João Roberto Ripper, with whom he has worked for many years.

 

In 2017 she won an honorable mention in the Poy Latam awards, in the video category with "The massacre of Caarapó ".
